FIRST LEGO League is an educational program for elementary and middle school students in which teams of students collaborate to develop a solution to a real-world problem. These students learn a set of Core Values, how to research and present their research project, and how to build and program a robot to do tasks on a field. We have noticed how much more FLL is than the simple tasks discussed above, and as such, we heavily support this program.

About FLL

Over the years, we at STEM Enterprises have noticed how students’ thinking processes are completely rewired over the season(s) they spend with us in our FLL programs. Our educational program ensures students learn from the FIRST LEGO League challenge, not just compete. We teach our students about the intricacies of programming, not just how to program superficially. We educate our students on how a research project is so beneficial for our society and not just to achieve a goal. We teach our students the importance of following ethical codes and more importantly, how to effectively implement them to succeed in life. The point is that our education is not the traditional school education where a subject is taught, students memorize concepts for an exam, and then forget the material. We engage students in the learning process in order to ensure these students retain the knowledge and understand how the knowledge is used. If you live in Morgantown, WV and you or your child is interested in getting involved in FIRST LEGO League, contact us at stementerprises.education@gmail.com! We would love to hear from you!
